Phil lives in the attic where Bryan Cranston is practically the Wonka factory for Dell (Kevin Hart), who lives in a public housing when his girlfriend has not thrown him out. Dell is a relentless father who needs to prove that he is still going to fruitless job interviews to appease his parole officer. A confusion takes him to Phil’s house just as he and his major-dome (Nicole Kidman) are accepting candidates for a new aide specifically trained in lifting, feeding and as a lifesaver for someone paralyzed from the neck down. In an act of defiance (or maybe it just makes good sense), the well-groomed Phil decides that this unleashed loose cannon is the only man for the job.
